The time and date that your parcel will be delivered will be entirely dependent on the services that you choose when it comes to your parcel courier. There are a number of different options available, and here we’re breaking down when you should expect your parcel to be delivered, by service:
Same Day Delivery
Some couriers offer a same day delivery option that is guaranteed to arrive on the same day. However, not all couriers are able to guarantee this, meaning your parcel is not always going to arrive on time. If this is the case, ensure that you have a tracking number so you are able to know where your parcel is at all times.
Next Day Delivery
Next day delivery tends to have a cut-off point, so knowing when it will arrive will be dependent on what time you placed the order. For example, if you make a next day delivery order before 10pm with some couriers, then it is highly likely to arrive the next day. If, however, the courier has an early cut-off point that you have missed, then it might take up to 2 days for the parcel to arrive at it destination. However, some couriers have no cut-off point at all! Make sure that you know the full terms and conditions, which should be clearly displayed by the courier, so you can estimate when your parcel will arrive.
2 To 3 Day Delivery
This type of delivery is as it says on the tin and should take between 48-72 hours to arrive at its destination. If your parcel has not arrived in time, then you may want to contact your courier, as you may be eligible for a refund or some other form of compensation.
3 Days Plus Delivery
Also known as standard delivery, this is one of the most cost-effective shipping methods, if you want your parcel to arrive quickly, but it is not urgent. 3 days plus delivery tends to mean that your parcel will be delivered within 3 to 5 days.
Pallet Delivery
Pallet delivery times are totally dependent on the size of your pallet, and how far you are looking for your pallet to be shipped. However, many pallet couriers will be able to provide you with some form of estimation, and a range of services that are included within this. Pallet delivery can come in the form of same day delivery if you are looking to ship your pallet to a close-by destination, but can take months depending on the courier.
Special Delivery
Special delivery, also known as recorded delivery, can arrive at any time depending on the courier. Some couriers will have specific dates and times that your special delivery parcel may arrive by, or have guaranteed options for you to choose from.
