Superdrug is an online and in-store health and beauty retailer, the second largest in the UK. You can browse in-store or order products directly on their website. Superdrug offers free delivery with orders over £10, or for free if you’re a member of their Health and BeautyCard Scheme. They also offer click and collect options and special delivery options depending on the urgency of your order.
Sometimes when we order products, they aren’t what we seemed or not what we needed, and that’s perfectly fine. Returns are a common process and Superdrug has made the process of returning a parcel to them seamless. Below is some further information on Superdrug parcel returns.
Superdrug will happily refund you for any items that you need to return to them as long as they are in a reasonable and unused condition within a 28 day period of issue of your receipt. This does, however, exclude the following items:
-
- Perishable items (e.g. baby milk and food)
- Medicines
- Personalised items
- Any sealed products that are not suitable for return due to hygiene or health reasons if they become unsealed after the delivery process. The exception to this is if your items were unfortunately faulty or damaged when they were delivered to you in the first instance, or they have been delivered incorrectly.
It is always best to check with the store beforehand to ensure that you have the right to return your purchase or avoid any disappointment.
Returned items need to be unused and in their original packaging. However, this doesn’t apply to any products under the Superdrug own brand 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Return Your Superdrug Parcel
When arranging Superdrug parcel returns, you are given two options. The first option is to return your items to your local store and the second option is to return them via the Freepost label that’s included inside your order. Below is the process for both options.
Return to store
Returning part or all of your order to your nearest store is relatively simple. All it requires is two items: firstly, the dispatch note/order invoice that was sent with your order, which you will find this inside your delivery box. The second item you need is the payment card you used to place the order. This is to ensure that it was you that bought the product and this is stated in the Superdrug returns policy. If you used Paypal to pay for your item, don’t worry – just bring along the card that is attached to the PayPal account when arranging Superdrug returns.
Return by post
Returning your parcel via post is just as easy. You can return all or part of your order by post for free with Superdrug parcel returns. You just need to follow these six simple steps:
-
-
- You need to complete the ‘return summary’ section that is located at the bottom of the Superdrug parcel returns summary which will have been included within the parcel.
- You will need to note which product you are returning, including the quantity and the reason code that will be detailed in the Superdrug returns section.
- This next step is to detach the ‘return summary’ and the Freepost Superdrug returns label from the parcel summary.
- Next, place your return summary inside your return box, alongside any items you are returning to Superdrug.
- You then need to attach your Freepost returns label to the outside area of your parcel. To do this, you will need to first remove the adhesive backing.
- The final step is to simply take your parcel to your local Post Office and they will process the return for you.
-
When you use Superdrug Freepost returns label, your postage is free from the Republic of Ireland and the UK, providing that your parcel is under the maximum weight limit of 5kg and does not exceed the size of a standard parcel: 61cm by 46cm by 46cm in size. If your parcel does exceed these size and weight requirements, it will be charged at standard Royal Mail (UK) charges for parcel delivery. These can cost up to over £20 for a parcel over 5kg.
It’s always a good idea to ensure that you get proof of postage in the form of a receipt from the Post Office, in case your parcel arrives late to Superdrug or gets lost during the delivery process. Keep in mind the Superdrug returns policy when arranging a courier to return your item.
Always make sure you have addressed the label correctly to avoid any delays or your parcel being sent to the wrong place. Any returns should be sent to the following address, as stated on the Superdrug returns policy:
Customer Returns Manager,
Superdrug Stores Plc
Stadium Way
South Elmsall
Pontefract
West Yorkshire
WF9 2XR
After you’ve returned your parcel, it’s a matter of waiting to hear from them for confirmation that your parcel has arrived. From then, it can take up to five working days for your refund to be processed. As a guide, you should receive your refund within 14 days of them receiving it at their warehouse.
Returning products supplied by a third party
Some of the products that Superdrug sell are sent directly from their suppliers. If your products were supplied by a third party, you’ll receive a document labelled ‘returns information’ with your order. You should check the returns information document and follow the steps to return the product directly to the third party supplier. Unfortunately, Superdrug stores cannot accept these returns, as Superdrug do not handle products directly.
How will my refund be processed?
Superdrug will only refund using the same payment method that was originally used to pay for your purchase, including if you use your Health & Beautycard. Refunds cannot be processed if your debit or credit card has expired and you will need to give them a call to find out what to do next.
Superdrug Couriers
Superdrug uses the Post Office as their official delivery partner, and it’s the Post Office who offer a free returns process in conjunction with Superdrug. However, if you so wish, you can return your parcel via an external courier service. Courier delivery companies such as TNT, DPD and Parcel Force all offer a unique set of prices and offers, so you can find something to suit your urgency and budget.
Tracking Your Superdrug Order
Tracking your order is simple, once it has been dispatched, Superdrug will send you an email that will have a link to the tracking website. You will also be able to log into your specific Superdrug account, called ‘My Account’, and track your order when it has been dispatched, which you can check via your order history. Superdrug will also issue you an email at each stage of the process, such as when the order is placed and when the order has been dispatched. You can also contact Royal Mail at their website or 0845 601 5726.
